Printmaking Workshops January 2017

14-Jan-2017 to 21-Jan-2017

There has been such a positive response to our photopolymer class we have restructured
our January workshops to reflect the interest .
Advanced topics such as optimal image preparation, inking and using colour
successfully will be covered in depth.  A laser printer will be on hand to make our
transparencies and participants will use the sun and our exposure unit to expose the plates.
Bring your own laptop with Photoshop installed. Speak to us if you need Photoshop.
Our detailed notes and instruction on all components of the course are provided.
We show you how to make transparencies which will ensure top quality plates.
Robin and Annie will demonstrate the best ways to expose and
wash out photopolymer plates. These plates are also called solar or sun plates.
Instruction is given on the inking technique known as ‘a la poupee’
where colours are added to the plate before printing examples shown above.
