Fengtao Liu is a revered artist of the Huxian Farmer ’s Painting style, acknowledged as a master of this unique form of folk art. He was born in Huxian County in north-west China in 1951 and studied under his father who was an instructor at the highly regarded Huxian Cultural House. This is the artist’s first exhibition in Australia. Fengtao has won national acclaim for his works, winning numerous regional and national awards. Several of his paintings have been collected by the Gallery of China in Beijing. More than 20 of his works have appeared in publications of national importance, with several more being selected for printing on China.
